In 2017–2018, we partnered with the Terry Fox Research Institute to create a national awareness campaign supporting the Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network (MOHCCN)—an initiative founded by Dr. Victor Ling in order to unite Canada’s leading cancer researchers through shared data, treatments, and discoveries.
In 2019, the Government of Canada committed $150 million to launch the MOHCCN. Matched by network partners, this investment will generate up to $300 million for precision cancer research across Canada.
Building on the success of Phase 1, the federal government announced an additional $80 million, in 2026–27, to expand precision oncology nationwide.
